Valentino's has become a Downtown staple in a remarkably short time — opened by Rafael Ramirez with one thing in mind: to cook great food for the great people of Downtown Fresno.
The beauty of Italian food is its simplicity — rarely more than four to six ingredients. Step inside and you'll be met by the aroma of freshly sautéed garlic, the bright green ribbons of basil over your Caprese, and rigatoni bursting with peppery goodness in every bite.
In an age of fusion and reinvention, Rafa brings your senses back to earth with simple appreciation. Come take a step back in time — and we'll see you tomorrow.
“This is just as good as back home.”
Over 30 years in the kitchen, Rafa helped open some of Fresno's most iconic restaurants. Now it's his time to shine. La dolce vita, baby.
Valentino's carries the middle name of Rafa's dear friend, Anthony — a man who could draw out anyone's life story and never met a stranger. Anthony always encouraged Rafa to step out and chase his dream.
When Anthony passed in 2022, Rafa knew there was only one way to honor him: to name his dream after his friend, and to serve every plate with the love Anthony showed him.
From office lunches to celebrations, we'll bring Valentino's to your table. Tell us your headcount and we'll handle the rest.
